TV and TIVO

I've never really been the guy to have a bunch of different television shows that I watched. I usually had one or two that were "must sees", but other than that, I just didn't follow many things week to week....until TIVO. No more do I sit and complain that there is nothing on. At any given moment I can go to "recorded tv" and watch anything from throughout the week. I now follow a variety of things such as The Apprentice, The Amazing Race, 24, Prison Break, Heroes, American Idol, House, Lost, ER, Survivor, CSI, UFC....I don't have to miss any of it. And no more crazy plastic tapes to keep up with. (This sounds like some cheesy info-mercial.) I believe that TIVO is the greatest invention since the wheel.

Speaking of shows, American Idol just doesn't have the guys bringing it this year. It definitely looks as if it is going to be an all girl final 4, and Doolittle is gonna bring it home! Let me know what your thoughts are on American Idol. Who's your favorite...and why?

Lakisha is giving Doolittle a run for her money!
Your mom picks 'em every year!

Lakisha has an incredible voice and is one of my favorites, as well. However, I feel that what makes Doolittle better is that she is more original in what she does. Lakisha seems to sing incredibly well, but it always comes off sounding just like the original.

You are correct on Lakisha. I really think that Dolittle will win. She's not only original but also very quiet and not boastfull of her awsome talent.

Jeff...where are the changes to your blog as you have promised????!!!!! How's everyone doing? I hope that all is well with you and your family. We had an awsome service last Sunday with Johnny Lane preaching. Terry lead service, which he also did an awsome job. I just want to tell you that each time I read your blog, you also do an awsome job of preaching through the blog...Anyway, don't want to babble....Take care.

OK! OK! I'm out voted!
They both have great voices.
Doolittle has the looks & both seem humble. Lakisha also needs a little help on stage presence.

As I have discussed with you, Doolittle looks to "mature" to win - I think???

I am still pulling for the "beat box" guy.

you are all hilarious. I like Blake "the beat box guy" too. He kinda sounds like Sting (the singer, not the wrestler).

I have 3 favs right now. I do believe that there will be an all girl final as of today. But my favs are Chris Sligh. He has such a good personality and he can sing. Gina rocks! Love the attitude! Lakisha rounds out my favs. She is awesome and man can she belt it!
One question. What happened last night with Sundance going off and Sanjaya (however you spell his name)--can't sing worth anything-- staying on? Not too upset that Sabrina went off and Hayley stayed but can't believe about Sundance!! Bad move!

Melinda Doolittle is as humble as you see her on stage. She does not know how good she really is like Simon told her. She came to Crosspointe with the Group Anoited back in December 2005 with Newsong and a few others. I did record sales for her & Anoited. She is as humble as you see her on stage, and also very funny! I also think it is going to be really neat to see how God is going to use her. She loves the Lord as much as she loves singing. Go! Melinda!

OH! by the the way How are you and your family doing? Things are still in search mode here in Millington?

Blake is really good also. I was VERY disappointed to see that Sundance was voted off and not the other guy, but on the other hand I didn't vote at all so I can't say too much. I probably would've voted but by the time I saw the "Tivo" edition, it was way too late. I agree Jeff, Tivo IS pretty cool, but if you don't keep up with the shows it can almost be overwhelming with the thought of "I have 4 episodes of ER to watch!!! Have a good one....

We voted about 23 times for Melinda Doolittle this week. But, I was pretty disappointed about Sanjaya staying. He must have half the nation of India voting for him. It seems like every year there is at least one person like him who stays a lot longer than they should have. He's gotta go. Things are good here, Renee. We do miss Crosspointe, but God continues to confirm His call for us here. We really love our church and the area we live in.

I remember Melinda being at Crosspointe! She was very funny when everyone was dancing after the concert in the lobby. That was a great night.
