The Good Wife

Okay...now before you read this, you need to know that I am just the messenger. Don't shoot me! But, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this with you. The following article was published on May 13, 1955 in Housekeeping Monthly. CLICK ON THE PICTURE OF THE ARTICLE below and it will open a page for you to read it in. Oh, to have lived in the glorious 1950s. Let me know what you think.

Honestly, that was a good article. There were 2 statements that were over-the-top ("his topics of conversation are more important than yours" and "don't ask him questions. . . you have no right to question him"). I firmly agree with the rest. It may not always be that perfect, but I believe that wives should make an attempt. I grew up with a mother who treated my father as king and he, in turn, treated her as queen. Happy husband=happy wife=happy marriage. :) Just ask Dr. Laura. :)

I agree with Cara! Imagine how the divorce rate would drop? BTW, I sat under Cara's parent's for about 15 years in Sunday school, and her folks are wonderful examples of a loving marriage.
